FIELD OPERATIONS (PATROL)

 

IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE DELIVERY OF POLICE SERVICES TO THE CITIZENS OF SEMINOLE, THE DEPARTMENT HAS ESTABLISHED A CLEAR DEFINITION OF THE FUNCTION OF PATROL OFFICERS. THIS SHOULD ENABLE OFFICERS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ACTIONS ARE IN CONCERT WITH DEPARTMENTAL POLICIES.

 

 

 

PREVENTIVE PATROL AIMED TOWARDS REDUCTION OF CRIMES AND ACCIDENTS AS WELL AS

MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC ORDER.

RESPONSE TO CALLS FOR SERVICE FROM THE COMMUNITY.

PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION OF CRIMES, INCIDENTS, OR OTHER CONDITIONS THAT MAY INCLUDE

ARRESTS OF OFFENDERS.

RESPONSE TO EMERGENCIES.

DEVELOPMENT OF POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CITIZENS AND THE DEPARTMENT.

TRAFFIC DIRECTION AND CONTROL AS REQUIRED.

REPORTING OF INFORMATION TO OTHER DIVISIONS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT.

ENFORCEMENT OF A WIDE VARIETY OF STATE LAWS, AS WELL AS CITY ORDINANCES.

SERVING ARREST AND/OR SEARCH WARRANTS.
